Wanapum State Park & Columbia River (#1247)
Two miles south of Vantage, the park's grassy, tree-filled area features picnicking, swimming, boat ramp, trailer park and camping. This is a popular area for water skiing and soaking in the sun.
Ginkgo Petrified Forest State Park (#836)
4511 Huntzinger Rd.
Vantage, WA 98950
Ginkgo Petrified Forest State Park is the highlight for many families as they travel through Eastern Washington. The great displays of petrified wood and Native American petroglyphs, the magnificent vistas of the Columbia River, historic buildings, and the park make this a place to come back again and again.

Just up the road lies the Ginkgo State Park Interpretive Trails which takes you through short winding trails with petrified wood in its natural state.  This is one of the most unique fossil forests that exists in the world with artifacts dating back thirteen to seventeen million years.
