Wish Poosh (#1123)
This campground is a popular gathering place for families to enjoy water sports and hiking. It is open Memorial Day to late September. The paved boat launch is typically out of the water by mid-July as water levels drop to meet irrigation demands. Wish Poosh Campground is situated on Lake Cle Elum, 10 miles north of Cle Elum, WA on Highway 903. This campground is a popular gathering place for families to enjoy water sports, hiking and camping. Bathroom, Campground Host, Potable Water.

The campground is temporarily closed as of 2015 due to the hazard from root rot but the day use area and boat launch remain open.It is likely to open late July 2016.

Ginkgo Petrified Forest (#889)

Ginkgo Petrified Forest State Park is a 7,470-acre park with year-round camping at Wanapum recreational area. The park features 27,000 feet of freshwater shoreline on the Wanapum Reservoir on the Columbia River. Petrified wood was discovered in the region in the early 1930s, which led to creation of the park as a national historic preserve. Ginkgo Petrified Forest is a registered national natural landmark. It is regarded as one of the most unusual fossil forests in the world.

Located in Ellensburg in the heart of beautiful Washington State! This area boasts some of the best fly-fishing for Rainbow Trout, along with unlimited possibilities for outdoor recreation. De-Roux Campground is on North Fork Teanaway Road #9737, 29 miles north of Cle Elum. Fees: Northwest Forest Pass required. Facilities: Vault toilet, tables, fire grills, no potable water. Units: 6 camping or picnicking. Parking for 8 vehicles with trailers. Activities include camping, picnicking, fishing, hunting, hiking, horseback riding, and motorcycle riding.

Trailhead with camping area. Horses are permitted at the campsites and there are hitching posts. The road to the campground is currently washed out - it should be repaired by June 2016.

$5.00 per day / $30.00 yearly pass
Cle Elum River Campground (#864)

2,300ft elevation. Located at the head of Lake Cle Elum along the Cle Elum River, this campground offers 23 trailer/tent sites and a reservable group site with a capacity of 55+ people. The campgrounds are in a mixed conifer forest and surrounded by mountains. Activities include fishing, boating on the lake, and hiking nearby trails including Howson Creek Trail #1349 for hiking, horse riding, and mountain biking.

As of August 2015, potable water is not available at this campground.

Fee: $17 single, $34 double, $110 group site, extra vehicle $7
Beverly Campground (#860)

Beverly campground is located along the North Fork of the Teanaway River. There are 14 tent/picnic sites available first come/first serve. There is no potable water source and all trash must be packed out.

Not accessible until the snow has melted off in early summer. Campground can be used year round but it is not serviced from fall to spring. Please pack-out trash. Campgrounds can accommodate tends, trailers, campers and RVs.

Fee: $8/Night for single unit. Payment by cash or check.

Units: 99 camping, (12 of which are double family units), (25 of which can be reserved); 20 picnicking. Activities: Tent and trailer camping, picnicking, fishing, hunting, and hiking.
South Fork Meadow (#1122)

Dry Creek Campground (#867)

This is a primitive campground with few amenities. There is a beautiful stream in close proximity that is worth going to. Activities near this campground include hiking the Lost Lake Trail, whitewater paddling, hiking, fishing, and swimming.

Taneum Campground (#879)

Located on Tanuem Creek near the site of a former CCC camp. The picnic shelter was built by the CCC's. Ponderosa Pine and Douglas Fir shade the area. There is a water spigut but, as of 2015, the water is not safe to drink and must be boiled prior to use. This is a motorcycle campground. The Northfork Taneum Trail #1377, Taneum Ridge Trail # 1363, South Cle Elum Ridge Trail # 1326, And Gooseberry Flat trial #1363 all connect to the campground. These trail tie to the whole Taneum and Manastash trail system as well as the little Naches trail system. Bathroom, Campground Host.

Fee: $16 single site, $32 double site, $6/extra vehicle
Cayuse Campground (#863)

At the end of the Cle Elum Valley Road #903, north side of road, 19 miles north of Cle Elum. Must have livestock to camp at Cayuse Campground. Facilities: Potable water, flush toilets, community kitchen, stoves, tables, loading ramp, troughs, corrals and hitching posts. Units: 13 camping. Activities: Tent and trailer camping, picnicking, fishing, hunting, hiking, and horseback riding in the area.

This is a popular gathering place for trail riders heading into the mountains on several popular trails. It has spacious tent and RV sites. Water available from hand pump. Opens once snow as cleared, sometimes not before late June early July.

Must have at least one stock animal per campsite. Horses must be kept in the corrals which are located in a common area separate from campsite.

Fee: $21 single, $42 double, $8 for an extra vehicle
Taneum Junction Campground (#1325)

This campground has a 15 vehicle and 75 person capacity. There is also an improved dispersed area for group camping. Campground can be used year round but it is not serviced from fall to spring. Pack in what you need and pack out your trash. Bathroom, Group Camp Site, No Potable Water.

Activities: Hiking, Horseback Riding, Motorcycling, Mountain Biking

Fee: No pass or fee after September 28th (no services provided after that time.)

This is a primitive campground with few amenities. At Baker Creek Campground entertaining things to do are plentiful. If you like the outdoors, you won't be let down; there's swimming, hiking, fishing, and whitewater paddling, so running out of cool stuff to do won't happen.

Many clearings that provide good visuals. The Northwest section of LT Murray Wildlife area and Manastash ridge usually has early season elk and deer. As it gets colder and snows, the elk and deer tend to migrate down into the south eastern section of the wildlife area.  Whiskey Canyon on the lower portion is steep but will present opportunities for elk and deer as well.

Set on the Yakima River, this KOA is a great base camp for fishing or rafting. Rent a raft on-site or buy a fishing pole at the campground store. Shuttles for boaters/rafters available for a fee. You're well-situated for touring the Clymer Museum of Art, searching for the Ellensburg blue agate, enjoying a concert at the Gorge Amphitheatre, hiking the Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail, stargazing on Table Mountain or visiting Roslyn, where Northern Exposure was filmed. Central Washington University's campus and Chimposium also are located in town. This KOA features wooded sites, some right on the river. Wireless Internet is centrally located near the office/store.

Lmuma Creek Recreation Site (#1114)

This canyon has been designated as a state scenic route and offers excellent wildlife viewing, fishing in a Blue Ribbon trout stream, family river rafting and camping. Lmuma Creek is the smallest river access site the BLM manages in the Yakima River Canyon.

This campground located near the Little Naches River and is popular with motorcycle enthusiats. Maximum trailer length 30 feet. No reservations.

Scotty Creek Campground (#876)

This is a primitive campground with few amenities. Scotty Creek Campground is located in a vicinity with loads of exciting things to do! Near Scotty Creek Campground you come across the Red Hill Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail. Also, paddling on Icicle Creek is so much fun.

Swauk Campground (#878)

Located 27 miles northeast of Cle Elum on Hwy 97. 3200ft elevation. There are 22 tree shaded campsites, and a large picnic area with some sheltered tables on Swauk Creek, a few miles south of Blewett Pass. A hiking trail is nearby. The area has 3 winter recreation areas. The snow parks have snowmobiling and cross country ski trails.

A beautiful campground nestled in a grove of large Ponderosa Pine and western Larch trees., it has a CCC era picnic shelter and picnic site. Open from late May to mid September. No host at campground but there is one nearby at Mineral Springs Campground. Bathroom, Picnic Shelter, Potable Water.

Fee: $18 single, $36 double, extra vehicle $7

Area attractions include historic Roslyn, the Ellensburg Rodeo, and the Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail. Winter sports include snowmobiling, skiing, and cross country skiing. Cle Elum is just 6 blocks away for shopping, restaurants, and gas, with on site RV repairs and accessories.

Set on the Yakima River, this KOA is a great base camp for fishing or rafting. Looking for a central meeting place? Ellensburg is the geographic center of Washington, at the junction of Hwy 97 and Interstates 90 and 82. It's convenient for everyone, year-round. Quiet and serene, the Kittitas Valley Event Center is within easy walking distance of Central Washington University and downtown Ellensburg, and is within short driving distance of over 700 motel rooms and 35 restaurants. Nestled in an amphitheater-like setting, the Kittitas Valley Event Center offers a unique venue that can accommodate everything from a small private meeting to a large wedding, a public exhibition, or an equestrian or livestock event.

This is a primitive campground with few amenities. Park Campground lakes are nice; Snow Lake is a lake that's near Park Campground. Old Blewett Pass is near Park Campground and is unquestionably a tremendous place to stop by.

Icewater Creek (#1121)
20+ miles northwest of Ellensburg on Forest Service Road 3300. 14 campsites.
Located on Taneum Creek, this campground offers 15 campsites. The campground accesses  North Fork Taneum Trail # 1377 and has a beginners motorcycle loop trail that originates in the campground.
Indian Campground (#1117)
Northwest of Ellensburg along the middle fork of the Teanaway River. Approximately 12 miles northwest of state Route 970. 10 campsites available. A discover Pass is required to camp in this location.
Roza Recreation Site (#1116)
Roza is the main take-out for all river floaters, as it is located ½ mile above Roza Dam. Motorized vessels are permitted from the Roza boat launch down to Roza dam. Upstream of the Roza boat launch the river is limited to non-motorized boats only. There is a concrete boat launch at the site to accommodate motorized boat users.
Taneum Cabin (#1326)

Taneum Cabin is a small four room cabin with indoor plumbing. It is available for rent from Memorial Day to Labor day. Propane used for light, cooking, refrigerator and waterheater. There is a fire ring and picnic table outside. Max stay 14 nights. Bathroom, Potable Water, Shower. Must have reservations!

Flying Horseshoe Ranch (#987)

Flying Horseshoe Ranch is an easy 90 minute drive from the Greater Seattle area on I-90.

Take exit 85 just past Cle Elum, and continue east approximately four miles on Highway 970.

Positioned on the shores of Lake Easton in the Cascade Mountain foothills, relax year-round at Lake Easton State Park. Discover the picturesque mountain views and explore the scenic hiking trails. Come for a restful afternoon or spend a few days camping. Marvel at the old-growth forests, dense vegetation and freshwater marshlands of the park.

Kachess Campground (#1323)

Set in dense old-growth evergreens surrounded by high mountains, this campground is a good place for family camping. One launch is paved the other gravel. On busy summer weekends, the boat launch and day use parking areas fill up fast. It opens late May snow melt permitting... Reservations required for group site, available for all sites.

East Kachess Campground (#880)

Group camping site that can accommodate 100 people and 25 vehicles. No individual sites at this location. Reservations required. Weekends usually fill during the summer, but if you arrive before mid-morning on Friday there are usually spots. Flush toilets. No potable water.

Do not move picnic tables. Campfire wood cannot be cut or collected in the camp area. Lake Access on very steep cobble stone beach.

Fee: $65 Mon-Thursday, $90 Friday & Saturday
Rider's Camp (#1120)
25 miles west of Ellensburg on Forest Service Road 3100. This campground not accessible until mid-June although it does not technically close in the winter. It has seasonal stock water from the creek and an improved dispresed camp area for groups. Bathroom, Group Camp Site, No Potable Water. ATVing, Hiking, Horseback Riding, Jeep/4-Wheeling, Motorcycling.

Fee: $5.00 per day / $30.00 yearly pass
Owhi (#887)

Five miles off the Cle Elum Valley Road above Lake Cle Elum at Cooper Lake. The turnoff is approximately 16 miles from Cle Elum. Possible Day Use Fee. Facilities: Vault toilets, stoves, tables, parking lot, boat launch, no potable water. Units: 22 walk-in camping only; camper/trailer facilities and parking not available. Activities: Camping, picnicking, fishing, hiking, photography, and non-motorized boating.

Not accessible until the snow has melted off in early summer. Sites are tent only - the campground is walk in but near the road. Primitive boat launch near campground. No motors, gas or electric are permitted on the lake.

Fee: $14/night. No fees or service after September 28th.
Big Pines Recreation Site (#1115)
At 20 acres, Big Pines is BLM's largest recreation site in the Yakima River Canyon. The northern edge of the recreation site is adjacent to undeveloped hiking trails on lands managed by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Bonanza Campground (#862)

This is a primitive campground with few amenities. Some of the things you can do here at Bonanza Campground are hiking, whitewater paddling, fishing, and swimming. It also has a great spot for whitewater paddling.

Wanapum State Park Recreation Area (#1124)
About 29 miles northeast of Ellensburg in Vantage. 50 full hookup sites for RVs. 
Washington State Horse Park (#1091)

The Horse Park has 23 RV-hookup spots that can accommodate large rigs, as well as an RV sanitary dump station. Fifteen hook-ups are in wooded spots and have water, electricity and sewer. The other 8 are at treed islands in the parking area and have water and electricity. These hook-ups are $30/day (or $25 for members) and need to be reserved in advance. Visit our web page to reserve online at least 24 hours before your arrival.
Our shower building houses 3 private showers with attached changing room and plenty of hot water! There is no charge for these showers, but we always appreciate a donation to help offset costs of propane and maintenance. Showers are open 24-hours.

Only propane fires in gravel areas are allowed at the Horse Park due to extreme danger of fire in the woodland setting. Absolutely no burning of wood, charcoal briquettes or other flammable materials that could release a cinder.
The Horse Park also has dry camping available at no charge whether in your rig or in a tent in designated areas near the stalls and RV hook-ups. No reservations needed for dry camping.
Salmon La Sac Creek Campground (#850)

This destination offers an array of excellent trails. As you make your way through the forest trail, you'll appreciate unique views of the Cle Elum River Basin and the impressive mountains beyond. NOTE: A standard Snopark permit is mandatory. Bathroom, Campground Host, Potable Water.

This popular campground is located between Cle Elum and Cooper Rivers. It opens the weekend before Memorial Day weekend, weather and snow conditions permitting and closes mid-September.

Fee: $21 (Single), $42 (Double sites), $8 for extra vehcicles
Red Mountain Campground (#875)

On Cle Elum Valley Road #903, 16 miles north of Cle Elum. Facilities: Vault toilets, stoves, tables, no potable water. Units: 10 camping. Activities: Tent camping, picnicking, fishing, hiking.

This campground is on the Cle Elum River. The campsites are available for day use (picnics) Monday through Thursday only and open for camping 7 days per week.

Fee: $14 single site, $6 for a second vehicle. Day use fee $8.
