Day Two: Morning
1) Liberty Café

Start your day of with pie, or for a more nutritious breakfast, try their giant pancakes, yummy omelets or side of bacon. The tables have fun little books you can read as you wait for your meal.
This ADA-accessible paved loop hike is a perfect morning hike. Only one mile long, you can enjoy the picturesque Gold Creek Pond with the kiddos. You can have fun exploring and testing out the water with a paved trail that leads you down the pond's bank.
3) Helen McCabe Memorial State Park
Located at the entrance of the Yakima River Canyon, this relatively underdeveloped park is a great place to get some fresh air and stroll alongside the 8-acre pond. There is much to explore with several hiking trails throughout the park.
Day Two: Afternoon
1) Los Chilangos
This food truck serves street styled tacos on handmade tortillas for great prices and are filling. The Grande Burrito is larger than you think, so be prepared to feast! Los Chilangos has indoor and outdoor seating, so you can enjoy their yummy tacos no matter the weather.
2) Swauk Forest Discovery Trail

3) Cle Elum Telephone Museum
Cle Elum, WA
Cle Elum's Telephone Museum is the oldest complete telephone museum west of the Mississippi. Cle Elum was home to the last operator-assisted switchboard phono company in the Pacific Northwest, closing in 1966. Take a walk through time and explore the history of telephones as well as some coal mining artifacts.
Day Two: Evening

3) Paint your own Pottery at Hidden Treasures
Get creative and have fun painting pottery. This unique antique mall has a room in the back where you and your family can have fun painting and glazing pre-made pottery.
Day Three: Morning
1) Cle Elum Bakery

Cle Elum Bakery has become a household name for locals, tourists, and Seattleites alike. Many claim Cle Elum Bakery is a must stop for sweet treats whenever they drive by town on I-90.
2) Olmstead Place State Park
Take a stroll through time and enjoy the beautiful heritage gardens, explore the lands rich farming history, and enjoy the fresh air and lovely setting.
3) Find the Bison Farm in Ellensburg

Even if you don't find the bison you can enjoy the beautiful drive along Highway 10.
Day Three: Afternoon
1) Mountain High Hamburgers
With a great variety of milk shakes flavors, classic burgers, and friendly service, Mountain High Hamburgers will make everyone in the family happy.
Grab your basketball, soccer ball, football or whatever you need for your favorite sport and head to Veteran's Memorial Park. With basketball hoops, large grassy areas, and a play structure you can spend endless amounts of time here having fun.
3) Play Volleyball at Irene Rinehart Riverfront Park
Pack a lunch and head to Irene Rinehart Riverfront Park for an afternoon in the outdoors in Ellensburg. Bring your volleyball and gather the family and friends and enjoy a fun-filled game of grass volleyball. Located on Carey Lake you can also enjoy a dip in the cool water to cool off if it gets too toasty!
Day Three: Evening

With new ownership McKean's Drive In is continuing its success in making road trip worthy burgers. For a unique twist you can get your burger on fresh French bread or on a hoagie roll! Keep an eye out on their re-opening, aimed for early May.
Day Four: Morning

With large and extremely delicious meals, you can start adventuring your fourth day in Central Washington with a full and happy stomach. Serving breakfast starting at 6:00AM you can even start bright and early.
2) Play Tennis at Roslyn City Park
Pack your tennis rackets and play a match at Roslyn City Park. Enjoy the fresh air and warm weather while playing a match full of giggles with the family.

Day Four: Afternoon

This out and back trail that's plays hide and seek with Taneum Creek is great for all skill levels. Your furry four-legged friend can join you on this hike as long as they are on their leash. Keep an eye for motorcycles as they are sometimes known to share this trail.
3) Pearl Street Books & Gifts
Treat yourself to a new book, perfect for the trip home and a nice memento to remember your trip by. This independent bookstore specializes in children's books, fiction and non-fiction, plus it features works of local artists.
Day Four: Evening

For sweet and savory, Vinman's Bakery is your one stop shop. Expect buttery and flakey croissants, mouthwatering cinnamon rolls with a twist, and much more. Come with an empty stomach because you'll want to order one of everything.
3) Thorp Fruit and Antique Mall
Thorp Fruit and Antique Mall is open year-round. With fresh fruit, packaged goodies from local companies, and a sizeable antique mall upstairs, you could spend hours here. Make sure to bring a cooler so you can stock up on your favorite fruit and veggies.
