Day Two: Afternoon

Red Horse Diner is worth visiting for its décor alone. With walls and ceilings decorated with retro car memorabilia and a checkered floor giving this diner a fun vibe. Located in an old gas station, you can see retro gas pumps outside and even more décor in their outdoor patio.

With the Renewable Energy Center set high on a ridge, you can get an up-close and person look at the facility's 149 wind turbines. From the center you can also see Mount Rainier, Mount Adams, and Mount Hood. You can explore and learn about solar technology and wind turbines through the interactive center and outdoor trails.

The lookout built in 1952 was and is still used for spotting wildfires. This lookout provides a 360 degree viewpoint where you can see the Stuart Range, Teanaway Ridge, Chelan and Entiat Mountains, Mount Rainier, and even Mount Adams. This easy 1.5 mile hike is perfect for the whole family. This short, but steep trail means you can spend more time looking in awe at the beautiful Kittitas County.

Day Two: Evening
