Cowboy Traditions Ranch Roping



The Summer Solstice roping is a fine family affair, and features more events than your typical ranch roping -- and admission is FREE! NEW THIS YEAR: Youth Ropers 12 and under may enter once FOR FREE and be eligible for winnings! NEW CLASSES are available for participants as well! Northwest Carving Academy



The current NW Carving Academy is comprised of a group of volunteers, each taking on one or more tasks that when all are put together a great week of carving and fun occurs.

The academy would like to invite you to join fellow carvers and instructors from all over the United States and Canada at the 10th annual Northwest Carving Academy.

Come spend the week at one of the classes, learning from some of the best instructors and carvers in the country and share your knowledge and love of the art of carving.

Join the Ellensburg Rotary Cowboys for the 95th Kittitas County Fair & Ellensburg Rodeo Kick Off Breakfast in Wells Fargo Drive through. Come on downtown and kick-off Fair and Rodeo weekend with a pancake feed. Don't forget to come dressed in your western gear! Rodeo buttons can be bought for $1 at the Kittitas County Chamber Office.

There will be the Littlest Cowgirl & Cowboy Contest, music and other surprises. 4-H Club Members, Top Hands and other groups will be on hand to help out. Breakfast is followed by the Annual Kids Parade, put on by the City's Parks and Recreation Department.

Kittitas County Fair



The Kittitas County Fair, first organized in 1885, is held every Labor Day weekend, and coincides with the Ellensburg Rodeo. It's a traditional fair, with lots of emphasis on agriculture, livestock, homemade goods, entertainment and rides.

The 23rd Annual Manastash Metric Century/ Half Century Bicycle Tour

Travel the scenic west side of the valley to Cle Elum and return along the winding Yakima River, or turn off half-way for the alternate 50 kilometer ride. Snacks and sag wagon are provided.

Meeting you at the finish line is a Free BBQ for participants! Guests of all riding participants can enjoy the BBQ for just $10.00!
